Peak Design Store Cleaning Case Study
Peak Design makes camera gear, bags, tripods and travel accessories. Its NYC Store at 241 Lafayette Street is one of a small number of brand-owned stores worldwide. American Janitorial Services provided weekly cleaning for the store. Our crew covered the front windows, the sales floor and the staff kitchenette, all before the doors opened for the day.

The Challenge
Peak Design stores are built for hands-on shopping. Customers are invited to pick up the gear, try the bags on, test camera clips and ask staff for advice. That means a lot of touching. Display shelves, product surfaces and mirrors collect fingerprints and dust all week.
The store also hosts in-store events, which bring extra foot traffic onto the sales floor. Its front windows face a busy Lafayette Street sidewalk, where street dust and smudges build up on both sides of the glass. Staff needed a clean kitchenette for breaks as well.
All of this had to be done without getting in the way of shoppers. The work needed to be finished before the store opened at 11:00 AM.
Our Approach
We set up a weekly visit on Thursday or Friday morning so the store went into its weekend traffic clean. Our team brought every supply and tool, so store staff had nothing to buy, store or restock.
